Filson s.r.o. was established in 1990 as a specialized wholesaler and distributor with a complete range of car accessories. From the very beginning, we have been providing exceptional services and great diversity and high quality of offered products. At a time when cheap and poor quality products from Asia flooded the Czech market, our company was one of the first distributors providing products mainly of European origin.
A significant milestone in the company history was the year 1994 when we successfully initiated a cooperation with petrol stations and later also with retail chains, as these sales channels are the backbone of our sales to this day. Shortly after the arrival of the new millennium, we have significantly extended our sales team in order to expand our distribution to retail chains and also to broaden the range of customer services. At the same time we strengthened our leader position on the Czech market and because of the positive development in the Slovak Republic, we opened a branch Filson-Slovak Republic.
Another breaking point in the history of our company was the year 2010, when we acquired a production plant of Hekra company in northern part of Czech Republic (Opava). In a very short time we put technological lines for production of our own car care products, operating fluids and motor oils into operation. By this step Filson got the necessary portfolio of own products that opened the way for a significant strengthening of our positions in reputable retail chains and finally enabled the dynamic development of export activities.
Companies as KAUFLAND, TESCO, LIDL, AHOLD, PENNY, BILLA, BAUHAUS, COOP belong to our important customers. During last few years, Filson pays great attention to the steps to consolidate its leader position in the Czech market and to develop its brands in the scale of European format. WE ARE A PURELY CZECH COMPANY WITH CZECH CAPITAL AND CZECH HEART. We do not rely on subsidies from the European Union, but we rely on the skills of our employees, the quality of our products and finally on the perfect customer service.
